Wedding Dress Size Chart

Important Note on Bridal Sizing Bridal gown sizing differs significantly from everyday street clothing and typically runs 1 to 2 sizes smaller. Please select your size based strictly on physical tape measurements rather than your regular ready-to-wear size. If your measurements cross multiple sizes, we recommend ordering our optional Custom Size.

How to Measure for Your Wedding Gown

1. Bust

Measure across the fullest part of your bust while wearing the style of bra or undergarment you plan to wear on your wedding day.

2. Natural Waist

Measure around the narrowest point of your torso (typically 1–2 inches above your navel), keeping the tape comfortably snug.

3. Full Hips

Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest circumference of your hips and buttocks.

4. Hollow to Hem

Measure vertically from the center hollow of your collarbone straight to the floor, wearing your planned bridal shoe heel height.

Sizing & Fit Frequently Asked Questions

How do JoJo Bridal gowns run compared to standard clothing sizes?

Like traditional couture bridal fashion, JoJo Bridal gowns run smaller than typical high-street ready-to-wear clothing by approximately 1 to 2 sizes. We strongly advise choosing your size based on your current bust, waist, and hip measurements rather than your regular everyday clothing size.

Is custom sizing included or is there an extra cost?

Custom sizing is an optional made-to-measure tailoring service available for an additional fee. When selected on the gown's product page, our team tailors the bust, waist, hips, and hollow-to-hem length directly to your personal measurements. A measurement guide form is sent via email immediately following your order confirmation.

What should I do if my measurements fall between two standard sizes?

If you decide on a standard size, always order the larger size. It is relatively easy for a local bridal tailor to take in a dress, but much harder or impossible to let it out. Alternatively, select the optional Custom Size add-on at checkout to have the gown tailored to your specific measurements.

Which measurement is most important for A-line and ballgown styles?

For A-line and ballgown dresses, the bust and natural waist are the most critical measurements because the skirt opens freely over the hips. For fitted silhouettes (such as mermaid, trumpet, or sheath dresses), all three measurements (bust, waist, and hips) must match the size chart closely.
